Specializing in Children and Families

Children and Adolescents
Individual Therapy

Kids and Adolescents

Every kid I’ve worked with has their own unique combination of silliness, curiosity, and strength – and each of them invites me to join that world with them every day, even if just for a few minutes.  Yet so many kids – and their families – are failed by the traditional systems that claim to support them. Many of these systems are designed to only provide intervention once people are in crisis.

As an early childhood educator and therapist, my passion is working with kids to tap into a personal sense of joy and belonging in the world around them. To look out for students who may not feel seen or heard, and support them in understanding and advocating for their needs. And to give them the space to better connect with themselves and others.

Adults

Grown humans need and deserve all those things too, and more! Therapy doesn’t have to mean having a problem, needing help, or “hitting rock bottom.” It’s a way adults can give themselves space to process and evolve. Some days might feel like work, others might feel easier. There may be an agenda, or there may just be time to see what comes up. No two individual styles, or stories, are the same – and my work is to get to know and support you in yours.

"Walk and Talk"

From working with students in schools – and from my own experience in therapy – I’ve learned that some of the best conversations and breakthroughs come accompanied by physical movement and fresh air. The concept of "Walk and Talk" therapy allows individuals to walk side by side with their therapist, which may feel more natural or approachable for some. We can determine a place that mutually works, with the option of Revi the therapy dog joining us as well! Additional fees apply if requesting a location outside of Alameda County. For more information: Walking it out with your therapist - CNN

Relationships
Family Therapy

“Family” can be defined in different ways by different people, and all members have unique ways of expressing themselves. Having an “outsider” perspective can make a big impact in supporting family members to connect with one another as they navigate life’s challenges, both individually and collectively. Families have the option of meeting in the family home if that feels more comfortable, joined by therapy dog if preferred. Additional fees apply if requesting a location outside of Alameda County.

Clinical Supervision
Clinical Supervision

I offer clinical supervision to therapists working towards their licensure and/or PPSC (Pupil Personnel Services Credential). I specialize in working with elementary school students but have also worked with teens and young adults across other systems, including juvenile hall, healthcare, and alternative schools.

Working closely with staff and other educators, I also provide trainings on topics such as wellness practices, trauma-informed education, facilitating social skills groups, and supporting newcomers.
